The Eastern MA FLL Championship brings together the top teams that advanced from last month’s qualifier. These 4th-8th grade competitors have spent months, starting in August, designing, building, and coding LEGO robots to take on intense themed challenges, all leading up to this big stage.

Teams preparing for the FLL Championships work together intensely, testing robots and refining attachments to get the best performance possible. They rehearse their design presentations and strategize which missions to prioritize when match time arrives.

During the matches, the energy skyrockets. Each team brings its own strategy to the table, reacting to challenges, adapting when things go wrong, and celebrating when things go right. The more matches they participate in, the more experience and excitement they gain.

Spectators aren’t just watching, they’re participating! The STEAM Expo invites the public to explore hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Kids and adults alike can experiment, learn, and discover alongside the competition.

Time runs out, pressure builds for this FLL team

As the final rounds approach, the pressure rises. Through determination and teamwork, the remaining teams face off to prove whether their robots are worthy as they compete for top places.

When the FLL Championships draw to a close, teams gather for a final, heartfelt celebration of all their hard work, with a dance party, an awards ceremony, and a group photo. We thank the incredible teams for their dedication, and extend our gratitude to the volunteers, coaches, judges, parents, and everyone else who made this event possible.
